Puran Poli is an Indian sweet flatbread and a Maharashtrian Special for the occassion of Holi Festival. It has many varitions across India and goes by different names like Vedmi, Holige, Obbattu, etc. All purpose flour dough is filled with grated Channa daal mixed with Jaggery, dash of cardamom powder and nutmeg powder. This is typically served with pure desi ghee on the side. The daal in this dessert contains protein and fiber and tastes amazingly well with pure desi ghee.
